    Wholesale Produce Supply LLC is seeking a dedicated Inbound Transportation Specialist to join our team on our day and mid shifts to help streamline our logistics operations!

    Day and mid shift available-Must be flexible to take calls on weekends if needed.

    Essential Job Functions:

    • Oversee inbound freight operations, including planning, coordination, and execution of transportation activities to meet delivery targets.
    • Collaborate with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to ensure smooth and timely transportation of goods, considering cost, service, and quality standards.
    • Monitor and track inbound shipments to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any transportation-related issues or delays.
    • Analyze transportation data and metrics to identify opportunities for cost reduction, route optimization, and process improvement.
    • Negotiate and manage contracts with carriers, ensuring compliance with company policies and expectations.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers and suppliers, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
    • Continuously assess and improve transportation processes to enhance efficiency, reduce transportation costs, and mitigate risks.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including purchasing, inventory, and warehouse teams, to optimize supply chain activities.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of transportation activities, including carrier profiles, freight rates, and shipment documentation.
    • Stay updated with relevant transportation regulations, industry trends, and best practices to ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement.
    • Assist with other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • Proven working experience as an Inbound Transportation Specialist or similar role.
    • Strong knowledge of inbound transportation operations, including carrier management, freight negotiation, and route optimization techniques.
    • Excellent analytical skills to interpret transportation data, identify trends, and recommend process improvements.
    • Proficient in using transportation management systems (TMS) and other relevant software applications.
    • Strong communication skills to interact with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks, work under pressure, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Detail-oriented, with exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities.
    • Good understanding of transportation regulations and compliance requirements.
    • Proactive attitude with a continuous improvement mindset.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to lift up to 25lbs. on occasion.
    • Ability to sit at the computer for extended periods of time.
