Respiratory Care Practitioner

We currently service most of northern Illinois, including Chicagoland and the Rockford area and are expanding into the Wisconsin market.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) is responsible for providing basic and advanced Respiratory Care Services (including setups and follow-ups) to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. The RCP plans, implements, and evaluates the effectiveness and appropriateness of Respiratory Care Services. Responsibilities include following the plan of care, providing treatments, and working collaboratively with the members of the respiratory/clinical team to ensure that positive patient care outcomes are realized.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES
Communicates with the patient's physician regarding changes in condition and/or needs
Acts as a liaison between IPI and the patient/client, family, trained caregiver, physician, and other healthcare agencies and staff involved
Delivers home medical equipment and supplies in a timely manner
Markets IPI in a positive manner at all times
Assesses and provides patient and family/caregiver education and information pertinent to diagnosis and plan of care
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Possession of current Illinois license as a Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner
Respiratory home care experience preferred
Thorough knowledge and skills related to respiratory care field
Demonstration of good verbal and written communication skills in English
