    Job Summary

    Exceptional Tours is a Home and Community-Based Services Agency supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and autism.

    We are seeking dependable and compassionate Direct Support Professionals to provide one-on-one Community Participation Support. In this role, you will help participants become more involved in their communities, build independence, develop meaningful relationships, and work toward goals outlined in their Individual Support Plan (ISP).

    The ideal candidate is caring, organized, reliable, and comfortable working independently. Previous professional experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities, autism, or other care needs is required.

    Responsibilities

    Provide one-on-one Community Participation Support as defined by ODP service guidelines

    Plan meaningful daily activities using the participant’s ISP as a guide

    Support participants in safely accessing and participating in their communities

    Assist participants in identifying volunteer, recreational, social, and skill-building opportunities

    Encourage independence, choice, communication, and community inclusion

    Provide transportation using your personal vehicle

    Maintain current driver, vehicle, insurance, and inspection credentials as required by ODP

    Complete accurate daily visit notes in CareSmartz360

    Complete and submit all required ODP training and compliance documentation

    Maintain appropriate communication with the participant’s primary caregiver and the Exceptional Tours administrative team

    Recognize, report, and appropriately respond to incidents

    Non-Negotiable Requirements

    Successful applicants must:

    Be reliable, punctual, and dependable

    Demonstrate strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

    Be capable of working independently without daily supervision

    Have prior professional caregiving or direct-support experience

    Maintain professional communication and good judgment at all times

    Qualifications

    High school diploma or GED required

    Must be at least 21 years old

    Minimum of one year of professional caregiving or direct-support experience

    Valid driver’s license

    Dependable, insured personal vehicle

    Willingness to use your vehicle to transport participants

    Current professional liability insurance
