Job Descripion
The Jira/Confluence Administrator would be responsible for administering a large on-premise instance of Atlassian's Jira and Confluence on a Linux platform. A candidate in this role would also be responsible for operational excellence around these services used by our cross-discipline engineering team and program managers. Responsibilities include setting up new projects, developing role-based access control, managing workflow schemes, screen schemes, custom fields, custom reporting, and gadget integration. You must be responsive, flexible and able to succeed within an open collaborative environment. You will take part in designing solutions to hard problems across the infrastructure platform.

As the Jira/Confluence Administrator, you will research what’s new in the marketplace and recommend add-ons and integrations to meet requirements. You will participate with stakeholders for new requests and enhancements.
Administer all projects in Jira and Confluence to meet corporate and program-based needs
Plan and coordinate feature improvements and upgrades around Atlassian services
Improve the user experience around Atlassian services, this may include over-the-shoulder training
Analyze and improve availability, efficiency, capacity, scalability, security and performance of our services
Develop and maintain operations tools
Assist with internal test execution of code change and integration, including documenting results, tracking defects, and troubleshooting defects and issues that arise out of testing
Perform all other duties as assigned
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in ISM, Computer Science or Engineering.
A working knowledge of Agile (Scrum or Kanban) methodologies
Experience with Jira as a user is a big plus!
Able to manage multiple priorities and get things done in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to solve problems at their root, thinking at a systems level and understanding the broad context of the tool’s usefulness for the company
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Functional scriping/programming experience with Perl/Python/Ruby, Bash.
Experience writing SQL and MDX database queries for advanced reporting.
Energy and passion to invent and create new solutions, challenge the status quo and drive positive change
Ability and willingness to go above and beyond one’s comfort zone when it comes to learning about other infrastructure services that integrate with Atlassian services.
