    Seeking an experienced Mission Systems Engineer to support the mission services team in development of the Terran Orbital ground system for innovative, high-capability satellites.

    KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • The Mission Systems Engineer will be responsible for providing SE functionality and integration to Mission Management of programs.
    • Ground architecture development and E2E building for Terran Orbital missions
    • Requirements development, decomposition, and mapping to capability
    • Develop SE artifacts and documentation to support requirements and architecture development of programs.
    • Perform Program Management support for schedule & capability development of Terran Orbital programs
    • Use case development for E2E architecture flow through and mission planning prototype testing
    • Collaborate with cloud, software, and radar engineers to define interfaces; integrate mission applications and data storage; and verify enterprise capabilities
    • Collaborate with the engineering team to evaluate commercial products and services that could support the enterprise; communicate the trades, costs, and merits of each.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering
    • 5+ years relevant experience in ground systems and systems engineering
    • Demonstrated success developing high-complexity ground systems or subsystems
    • Excellent communication skills and demonstrated success in technical leadership
    • Meticulous attention to detail in design and documentation
    • Additional preferred experience:
    • Master’s degree in engineering or physical sciences
    • Active TS/SCI security clearance
    • Space to Ground system design experience
    • Familiarity with STK or similar modeling software
    • Experience with space system budgets including mass, power, and link budgets
    • Experience with space system program lifecycles, development flows, test events, and verification and validation
