Independent Vascular Access RN (Mobile Role) Location: Wichita Falls, TX + Surrounding ZIPs Role Type: PRN / Part-Time/Full-Time

About the Role
As an Independent Vascular Access RN, you’ll collaborate directly with our facility partners to troubleshoot, place, and manage vascular access devices. You’ll function as both a clinical expert and a problem-solver, bringing precision and confidence to every patient interaction.
This is a mobile field role, with visits dispatched across Wichita Falls and nearby areas based on patient and facility needs. Nurses operate independently with paid mileage and full clinical support available.
Key Responsibilities
Insert PICC lines, midlines, and ultrasound-guided peripheral IVs
Use ECG-based confirmation when required
Manage and troubleshoot vascular access devices (declotting, line removal, dressing changes, etc.)
Perform port access and de-access procedures
Document procedures and communicate findings to facilities and the Vellum clinical team
Educate bedside staff on CVAD maintenance and vascular access best practices
Deliver confident, independent clinical care in the field
Ideal Candidate Profile
Active Texas RN license
2+ years of recent PICC, midline, or vascular access experience
Proficient with ultrasound guidance and mobile navigation systems
Strong clinical judgment and documentation skills
Holds BLS certification
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Comfortable using a smartphone for mobile charting
Schedule Options
Full-Time: 3–4 shifts per week (typically 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m)
Part-Time: 2+ shifts per week
PRN: Minimum of 4 shifts per month, including occasional weekends
Flexible scheduling based on coverage needs in the Wichita Falls region
