Vets love us: If you are considering ITAH, let me tell you a few truths. I am a relief doc there and after 27 yrs of experience in many hospitals around the world (yup, the world) ITAH has a true dedication to all the things that we associate docs feel matter the most. The patients, the people who come with them, the staff and well honestly... us. This hospital is so supportive, welcoming and caring. The support staff LOVE what they do and they do it well. Docs do doctory things and staff take care of the rest. Full case autonomy and lots of support. I LOVE it here. (I’d be signing on full time myself but can’t due to family obligations) There is a true respect for our time. Working hard happens but so does lunch time. Oh and going home on time happens!!!! You’re going to want to go see for yourself.
