The Account Manager is responsible for direct contact with dealers, reps, and end-users, and for effectively communicating to understand the needs and expectations of each project through orders, quotations, and drawings. This role works closely with Sales Engineers and Managers to receive approval for quotes and drawings and assist in managing projects to completion. This enables KPS Global to configure custom solutions and offer exemplary customer service.
Required Skills
- Manage major Industrial Accounts through customer obsession
- Provide excellent communication and support to assigned Industrial Accounts
- Investigate all available options to provide effective solutions to customer inquiries
- Apply creative problem-solving to deliver innovative solutions that meet customer needs
- Source non-stocked components to fulfill unique customer requirements
- Provide cross-functional support to Logistics, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Service, Parts, and Credit teams throughout the customer lifecycle
- Originate or revise quotations and/or drawings to meet project requirements
- Collaborate with Application Engineers and Outside Sales Managers to obtain necessary approvals for quotes and drawings
- Evaluate and anticipate complex customer needs, translating them into walk-in configurable and custom product solutions
- Process orders accurately and within assigned timelines to meet customer expectations
- Coordinate projects across internal departments to ensure timely delivery of products
- Partner with Product Design to develop presentation drawings that meet project specifications and functional requirements
- Work collaboratively within a team structure to support a designated territory and provide backup coverage
- Collaborate with other departments and hold them accountable to ensure customer satisfaction
- Review product information to build expertise and apply knowledge to future projects
- Share workload insights and business intelligence with Marketing to support forecasting efforts
- Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth
Required Experience

- Associates degree
- 1–3 years of experience in custom-controlled environments (preferred) or other highly custom business
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to interpret and understand construction documents and specifications
- Proficient in applying basic math principles
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to meeting deadlines
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple accounts effectively
- Self-motivated and thrives in a result-driven environment
- Skilled in prioritizing and managing competing tasks
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams; PowerPoint (preferred)
- 5% travel required
