Quality Plus Services is looking for skilled BIM Modelers to join our team on-site, supporting MEP operations within the semiconductor industry.

Job Overview: The Electrical BIM Modeler/Detailer is responsible for generating 3D Building Information Models (BIM) and 2D support materials for electrical systems for industrial projects. This role involves reading schematics and data, creating models from that ensuring accuracy, coordinating with various stakeholders, and integrating those systems into the overall building structure without clashes. The ideal candidate should have basic competence in Autodesk Revit and Navisworks Manage software, strong attention to detail, the ability to collaborate well with other trades and clients, and an enthusiastic desire to expand those BIM skills into greater supporting roles for the field crews. Key Responsibilities:

1. BIM Modeling: * Create and modify 3D BIM models for electrical systems in industrial facilities. * Quality control models to meet industry standards and project requirements. * Maintain BIM models on appropriate servers throughout the project lifecycle.

2. Coordination: * Collaborate with Project Managers, structural engineers, General Contractors, the client(s) and other disciplines to integrate MEP systems into the overall design. * Coordinate with the construction team to ensure model accuracy and resolve any design issues. * Facilitate clash detection and resolution between MEP systems and other building elements.

3. Documentation: * Generate accurate and detailed shop and isometric drawings, take-offs and other related construction documents from the BIM model. * Ensure that documentation is up-to-date and aligned with project specifications.

4. Quality Control: * Conduct quality assurance checks and clash tests on models to ensure compliance * Be able to walk job sites to measure, photograph and markup as-built references. * Identify and address discrepancies or potential issues in design and construction.

5. Collaboration & Communication: * Work closely with Project Managers, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to provide technical insights and resolve design issues. * Assist with reconciling BIM Tracks, sending Procore RFIs, IFFs and submittals * Attend daily meetings and communicate project progress with the team.

6. Software & Tools: * Utilize BIM software such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and be self-motivated to learn new software tools if they more effectively achieve deliverable goals. * Be able to convert 3D models into 2D drawings with dimensions and vice versa. * General computer skills in Office-related software, spreadsheets, emails, etc. * Ability to navigate the internet for information and search device model assets * Ability to work with markup and symbology software like Bluebeam Revu

7. Compliance & Standards: * Learn and apply relevant codes, industry standards, and company guidelines. * Stay updated on new BIM trends, technologies, and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
• 2-5 years of experience in BIM modeling for MEP systems for industrial construction
• Basic competence in BIM software (Autodesk Revit mandatory, Navisworks, Bluebeam)
• A general knowledge or affinity for MEP systems design, installation, and construction
• Experience with clash detection and resolution, creating material take-offs and isometrics
• Ability to interpret IFC, ECR and cut-sheets and other construction drawings
• Good problem-solving skills, attention to detail and a drive to help improve processes
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, self-organized and motivated
• Versatility in assuming different BIM-related roles at different times as may be needed
• Managing personal schedule for timely delivery of multiple concurrent projects

Preferred but Not Required Qualifications:

• Experience in industrial projects such as manufacturing plants, refineries, high-tech cleanroom environments or large-scale commercial facilities.
• Knowledge of advanced BIM coordination processes and tools.
• Familiarity with international standards (e.g., ASHRAE, NFPA).
