Job Title: Industrial Controls Electrician

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Controls Electrician to support the assembly, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of motor control and automation systems. This hands-on role requires strong electrical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to diagnose and resolve electrical and control system issues in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, install, maintain, and troubleshoot motor control and electrical systems
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, and technical drawings
- Wire and test motor starters, relays, contactors, control panels, and PLC systems
- Program, configure, and calibrate control devices as required
- Perform electrical testing to verify system safety, functionality, and performance
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults, component failures, short circuits, and overload conditions
- Replace defective electrical components and ensure proper operation
- Verify compliance with applicable electrical codes, standards, and customer requirements
- Support equipment upgrades, modifications, and continuous improvement projects
- Maintain accurate service, maintenance, and installation documentation
- Assist with training production personnel and junior technicians as needed
Qualifications
- Previous experience with industrial electrical systems and motor controls required
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Experience wiring motor starters, relays, contactors, and PLC-based control systems
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
- Knowledge of industrial electrical safety standards and best practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with UL, CSA, NFPA, ATEX, or related standards
- Manufacturing, automation, or industrial equipment experience
- Electrical certification or technical training preferred
