    Position Overview

    We are seeking an experienced Industrial Controls Electrician to support the assembly, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of motor control and automation systems. This hands-on role requires strong electrical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to diagnose and resolve electrical and control system issues in a manufacturing environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Build, install, maintain, and troubleshoot motor control and electrical systems
    • Read and interpret wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, and technical drawings
    • Wire and test motor starters, relays, contactors, control panels, and PLC systems
    • Program, configure, and calibrate control devices as required
    • Perform electrical testing to verify system safety, functionality, and performance
    • Diagnose and repair electrical faults, component failures, short circuits, and overload conditions
    • Replace defective electrical components and ensure proper operation
    • Verify compliance with applicable electrical codes, standards, and customer requirements
    • Support equipment upgrades, modifications, and continuous improvement projects
    • Maintain accurate service, maintenance, and installation documentation
    • Assist with training production personnel and junior technicians as needed

    Qualifications

    • Previous experience with industrial electrical systems and motor controls required
    • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
    • Experience wiring motor starters, relays, contactors, and PLC-based control systems
    • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
    • Knowledge of industrial electrical safety standards and best practices
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting
    • Familiarity with UL, CSA, NFPA, ATEX, or related standards
    • Manufacturing, automation, or industrial equipment experience
    • Electrical certification or technical training preferred
