Industrial Electrician
Location: Tolleson, AZ
Shifts Available:
- Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Night Shift: 6:30 PM – 6:30 AM
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to join a fast-paced manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and maintaining industrial electrical systems, production equipment, and facility systems to support safe and efficient operations.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience with industrial PLC troubleshooting, AC/DC drives, preventative maintenance, and electrical repair in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Electrical & Equipment Maintenance
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial electrical and electronic systems
- Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on production equipment and facility systems
- Install, examine, replace, and repair electrical wiring, conduits, lighting fixtures, feeders, switch boxes, and related components
- Test electrical and electronic equipment for continuity, voltage, resistance, and current
- Maintain and repair motors, generators, transformers, switchgear, regulators, and control systems
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems
- Install and assist with AC/DC drive programming and drive setup
- Support PLC troubleshooting and electrical diagnostics on manufacturing equipment
Technical Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, drawings, and electrical code specifications
- Maintain accurate preventative maintenance and repair documentation
- Assist with calibration and installation of industrial instrumentation when needed
- Monitor production equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation
- Identify equipment issues and recommend corrective actions
Production & Team Support
- Assist and train production employees on proper equipment operation and maintenance
- Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to minimize downtime
- Work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Provide support during equipment breakdowns and emergency maintenance situations
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all safety procedures, GMP standards, and company policies
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with electrical and safety regulations
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance electrician experience preferred
- Associate degree in an electrical-related field is a plus
- Strong experience with:
- Industrial PLC troubleshooting
- AC/DC drives and drive installation
- Electrical diagnostics and repair
- Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Ability to read electrical schematics and blueprints
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
- Computer and documentation skills required
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a manufacturing environment
