Manufacturing / Industrial Engineer - Automate Processes and Accelerate Growth

Are you a process-driven, technically savvy engineer with a passion for streamlining operations and scaling production through automation? As our Industrial Engineer, you will be the architect of efficiency — identifying bottlenecks, designing automated solutions, and implementing cutting-edge improvements across our cannabis manufacturing facility. You will work cross-functionally to optimize processes and lead transformative change, directly contributing to our operational excellence and growth trajectory.

    What Drives You:

    • You thrive on turning inefficiencies into opportunities, using data and systems thinking to drive measurable process improvements.
    • You have a deep understanding of how machines, materials, and people interact in a manufacturing environment, and how to make them work smarter.
    • You are a proactive, solutions-oriented engineer who doesn't wait to be told where the problem is — you find it, fix it, and future-proof it.
    • You thrive in dynamic environments, effortlessly managing multiple priorities and driving projects forward independently.
    • You welcome the complexity of a regulated industry and enjoy building scalable systems that meet both performance and compliance goals.
    • Navigating ambiguity and leading change excites you, and you possess the agility to adapt and implement solutions in a fast-paced, growth-oriented setting.

    Your Key Contributions:

    • Process Optimization Pioneer:
Lead the evaluation and redesign of manufacturing processes to reduce waste, increase throughput, and enhance repeatability and quality.

    • Automation Trailblazer:
Identify and implement automation opportunities across production, packaging, and material handling — including equipment integration, PLCs, and control systems.

    • Workflow & Layout Strategist:
Design efficient factory floor layouts, material flows, and production schedules that minimize downtime and maximize productivity.

    • Cross-Functional Collaborator:
Partner with Production, Quality, Facilities, and Compliance teams to ensure changes meet operational needs and regulatory standards.

    • Data-Driven Decision Maker:
Monitor KPIs and manufacturing data to track improvements, identify issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

What You Bring to the Team:

    • Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field).
    • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or process engineering role, preferably in cannabis, food & beverage, or pharmaceuticals.
    • Demonstrated success designing and implementing automation solutions that improve cost, consistency, and output.
    • Working knowledge of PLCs, sensors, and industrial automation.
    • Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
    • Ability to lead projects independently, think critically, and communicate clearly across departments.

    Your Day-to-Day Will Involve:

    • Walking the production floor to analyze performance and identify improvement opportunities
    • Collaborating with operators and managers to understand pain points and brainstorm solutions
    • Designing and implementing new workflows, equipment layouts, or automation systems
    • Managing vendors, contractors, or consultants involved in equipment or system installations
    • Drafting process documentation, SOPs, and training materials to support operational changes
    • Measuring and reporting on project outcomes to demonstrate ROI and efficiency gains

    Physical Requirements:
