Commercial HVAC Technician (Chillers)
Location: Mesa, AZ
Schedule: Monday–Friday | Day Shift with Overtime and On-Call

This position supports commercial and industrial HVAC systems throughout the Mesa area. It’s a hands-on service role for technicians who enjoy diagnosing complex equipment, working independently, and delivering reliable solutions in the field.
Role Summary
The Commercial HVAC Technician is responsible for servicing, repairing, and troubleshooting commercial and industrial air-conditioning systems, with a strong focus on chiller equipment. This role requires solid technical judgment, customer-facing professionalism, and the ability to manage service work efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
• Service and repair commercial HVAC and chiller systems in the field
• Work on centrifugal, screw, scroll, and reciprocating chillers
• Maintain and repair package units, split systems, and refrigeration equipment
• Diagnose system issues involving controls, airflow, and hydronic systems
• Perform mechanical service work on pumps, fans, and VAV boxes
• Use diagnostic tools and control systems to identify faults
• Communicate service findings, recommendations, and job status clearly
• Complete accurate service documentation and reports
Required Experience and Skills
• Minimum of five years of commercial HVAC service experience
• Proven hands-on experience working with chillers
• Experience servicing equipment from multiple manufacturers
• Technical or trade school training or completed apprenticeship preferred
• Journeyman-level HVAC or refrigeration experience preferred
• Electrical, controls, or BAS experience is a plus
• Valid driver’s license required
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills
• Comfortable working in mechanical rooms, rooftops, and outdoor environments
Work Environment
• Field-based work across commercial and industrial sites
• Exposure to mechanical equipment, electrical systems, and varying weather
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights or on ladders
• PPE required and safety procedures must be followed
