Job Overview:
As an Industrial Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and optimizing machinery and equipment in a manufacturing environment. You will ensure that production processes run smoothly and efficiently while adhering to safety standards and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on industrial machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Respond to machine breakdowns in a timely manner to minimize downtime and restore production.
- Conduct inspections, testing, and adjustments as needed to maintain equipment reliability.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.
- Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
- Assist in the installation of new machinery and equipment.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and training programs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in industrial maintenance, welding, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience as an industrial maintenance technician or similar role 2 years.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Familiarity with troubleshooting techniques and predictive maintenance practices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime or on-call shifts as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and materials 75lbs.
- Standing, bending, and kneeling for extended periods.
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including hot, cold, or noisy settings.
