The Role You’ll Play
The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic provides vital maintenance support across both cable and compound manufacturing plants. You’ll troubleshoot, repair, rebuild, and install industrial equipment to specification—helping minimize downtime and optimize production efficiency.
Shift: Must be willing to work 2nd or 3rd shift following initial training on 1st shift, with overtime and occasional weekend work as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair manufacturing machinery and mechanical systems
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to reduce downtime
Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for maintenance tracking and reporting
Assist with plant expansions and capital projects
Ensure compliance with 6S and safety standards
Occasionally fill in for supervisory personnel as needed
Work flexible hours, including weekends or other shifts when required
Skills & Abilities
Proficient in troubleshooting mechanical issues and industrial systems
Skilled in welding, machining, and light fabrication
Experience with pipefitting, plumbing, rigging, and motor/pump alignment (dial gauge and laser)
Ability to read mechanical drawings and schematics
Solid knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Comfortable working at heights (ladders, scaffolds, lifts)
Clear communication and attention to safety
Education & Experience
Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience (preferred)
Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance Technology or related field (preferred)
Must pass a mechanical aptitude test and may be asked to demonstrate practical skills
