Industrial Maintenance Technician (Electrical or Plumbing Focus)
Salary: $27–$32/hr (commensurate with experience)
Location: Webster, MA
About the Role
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Technician plays a hands-on role in ensuring all equipment and facility systems operate safely and efficiently. This role is critical to maintaining production uptime and product quality.
We are seeking a well-rounded Maintenance Technician with either a strong electrical background OR a strong plumbing background. This individual should be a proven troubleshooter who has developed their skills through hands-on experience (not necessarily licensed), and is comfortable supporting a variety of maintenance tasks across the facility.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime
Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and/or plumbing systems based on area of expertise
Conduct routine inspections to identify issues and ensure compliance with safety standards
Respond to equipment breakdowns, facility issues, and emergency situations (alarms, utilities, etc.)
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, efficiency, and reliability
Document maintenance activities according to company standards
Assist in developing preventative and predictive maintenance programs
Monitor spare parts inventory and communicate reorder needs
Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to support production goals
What We’re Looking For
We are open to candidates with one of the following backgrounds:
Option 1: Electrical-Focused Maintenance TechStrong hands-on experience troubleshooting electrical systems (motors, controls, wiring, etc.)
Experience gained on the job (not required to be a licensed industrial electrician)
Strong hands-on experience with plumbing systems (pipes, valves, water systems, etc.)
Experience gained on the job (not required to be a licensed industrial plumber)
General Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical training a plus
2+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience in high-volume industries such as beverage, food, dairy, brewing, or consumer goods preferred
Experience with filling, packaging, or batching systems is a plus
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
Willingness to take on a variety of maintenance tasks beyond primary specialty
Physical Requirements
Ability to work in a chemical manufacturing environment
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks
Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to climb, bend, and perform repetitive movements
Willingness to work overtime as needed
