    Our ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of maintenance experience (plastic injection molding). Located in Providence, RI, Mars 2000 provides world class engineering solutions for commodity and engineered products across multiple industries.     The successful candidate will have experience troubleshooting pneumatic injection molding presses, hydraulic equipment, and various electrical and electronic problems as well as general upkeep of the physical plant. The ideal candidate will be a creative problem solver who is solution oriented and highly mechanically inclined. Candidates should be self-motivated, must be able to work with little or no supervision and must be able to interact with outside vendors and technicians to resolve problems in a timely manner.

    Duties Include: Ensure that all safety interlocks are working properly and safely Maintain molding machines and auxiliary equipment (training available) Dismantle machines or equipment to examine defects and make repairs Replace defective parts with new parts or fabricated reproductions of defective parts Assemble and tests machine to verify correction of malfunction Clean press barrels and screws Understand and use “Lock-out/Tag-out” program Other duties that may be assigned

    Qualifications Include: Communication and interpersonal skills Team building and personnel development Understands hydraulics and electrical circuitry Understands all functions of injection molding machines (training available) Able to read hydraulic and electrical diagrams Able to keep accurate records Licensed to run a fork truck or willingness to learn
