Communications Coordinator
Job description
The Communications Coordinator is responsible for the following:
First Line Communications
This position is responsible for receiving and appropriately handling most “first line contact” with customers and clients. This includes:
Answering the main phone lines.
Responding to incoming online chat requests.
Responding to incoming social media messages.
Responding to incoming text-messages.
Receiving, sorting and managing the company’s “generic” email.
Responding to and routing other online messages such as eBay and Amazon messages.
Sales Support Functions
This position is also responsible for handling a variety of sales support functions including:
Entering and managing Amazon orders.
Preforming credit card fraud prevention checks.
Receiving and processing customer purchase orders.
Assisting customer support when required.
Social Media Management
When time allows, this position maintains our social media accounts including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube and others. These activities can include:
Posting industry related posts on social media.
Writing and posting blog posts and then sharing them on social media.
Assisting with the development of product and service videos.
Liking, sharing and interacting with others on social media to raise awareness of the company.
Qualifications and Education Requirement:
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Judgement and decision-making abilities.
Microsoft Excel, and other similar software packages.
Strong typing skills and computer skills
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with online buying & selling (eBay, Amazon, Craigslist, Facebook, etc.).
Preferred Skills:
Prior company or similar industry experience.
Prior communications and/or social media experience.
macOS and iOS experience.
Requirements:
Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers and fax machines
Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel, & Outlook)
Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
Basic typing skills and computer skills
Familiarity with online buying & selling (eBay, Amazon) preferred but not required
Experience with macOS computers is preferred but not required
Proficiency with the Internet is a must
Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
