About the Role:

Hummel Croton, Inc. is looking for a skilled Industrial Mechanic to join our team in South Plainfield, NJ! This is a hands-on opportunity to keep critical industrial equipment running at peak performance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities:

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial machinery and equipment

Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system failures and execute timely repairs

Inspect equipment regularly to identify wear, damage, or potential breakdowns

Disassemble, repair, and reassemble pumps, motors, gearboxes, conveyors, and related components

Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals

Collaborate with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime

Maintain accurate maintenance logs and work order documentation

Requirements:

2+ years of experience as an Industrial Mechanic or in a similar maintenance role

Must be able to read, speak and understand English fluently

Proficiency in mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems

Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals

Experience with welding, fabrication, or machining is a plus

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment

Reliable, safety-conscious, and a strong team player

Must Have 240v 3 phase electrical experience

Light to medium Plumbing Experience

Piping experience

Basic construction

strong knowledge in Mechancial repairs

Forklift/automotive knowledge

Strong time management skills.
