JOB DESCRIPTION
Industrial Networking Solutions (INS) is seeking a highly motivated and accountable associate for a Network Engineer position within our field services group. INS Services provides our customers with the confidence that their network (wired or wireless) is manageable, expandable, reliable, and secure. We accomplish this with well-trained resources, world-class products, and years of application experience. INS Services designs, deploys, and supports open-architecture solutions for the manufacturing floor, process control systems and municipal control markets. Our approach delivers investment protection, operational efficiency and significantly reduces total cost of ownership.
This position is responsible for the technical support, technical solution and development for systems that promote the customer’s ruggedized networking strategy. INS engineered solutions will be in support of our customer’s culture of high quality, affordable, reliable, and secure products. This position will frequently collaborate with customer leadership for best solution, and interface directly with operational and IT leaders.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Technical, engineering, or computer science degree or equivalent educational background
• Cisco Certified Professional is preferred
• Experience with extensive networking solutions including routing and switching protocols, STP, MRP, REP, IGMP, SNMP, NAT, CDP, LLDP, SSH and VLAN configuration, etc.
• 3-5 years’ experience implementing networking solutions in industrial and automation environments
• Experience with 802.11 wireless applications including bridging, routing, and encryption
• Understanding of IOT cellular networking applications including VPN and IPSec and secure modem hardware configurations for LTE, GSM, GPRS, EDVO, HSPA, HSUPA
• Excellent communication and collaboration with other associates
• Proven technical writing skills on engineered solutions
• Work duties will require frequent travel in the US
TEAMWORK
This position requires a technical collaboration and an understanding of emerging technologies for unique solutions. This position requires an understanding and appreciation of multiple job roles, and frequently requires a team effort with sales, operations, management, IT and other engineering disciplines. This position must provide effective and positive feedback to INS team members on difficult solutions and must be able to describe technical requirements to other team members for a successful solution.

LOCATION
HQ - Richardson, TX office. Candidate must be located in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. Will not compensate relocation.
