Job Description

This position will require the mixing of coatings, preparation of materials for painting and the application of primer and paint according to specified mil thickness.

Job Duties

1. Maintain workspace in a clean, neat, and safe manner.

2. Clean and degrease material using solvents and/or degreasers.

3. Mask off areas that paint, or coating is not to be applied to.

4. Mix coating according to coating manufacturers specifications.

5. Apply primer or finish coat using either airless paint system or conventional paint gun, depending upon the specific application.

6. Maintain paint booth which includes replacing filter elements, peel away coating (paint booth protectant), and floor paper.

7. Clean and maintain spray equipment.

8. Store paint in an OSHA approved fire cabinet.

9. Monitor supplies and inform Production Coordinator when recording may be necessary.

10. Properly dispose of used solvents and coatings.

11. Perform other related duties and assignments as required.
