Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Lead Industrial Painter to join our dynamic team in Louisville, KY. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing painting operations, ensuring high-quality finishes, and leading a team of painters to achieve production goals. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of industrial painters, providing guidance and support.
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers as needed.
- Mix and match paint colors to meet project specifications.
- Apply paint using various techniques, including spray, brush, and roller methods.
- Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to specifications.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Train new team members on painting techniques and safety standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely project completion.
- Keep accurate records of materials used and work completed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial painting, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of painting materials, techniques, and safety practices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and specifications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Familiarity with industrial painting equipment and tools.
