  • Responsibilities

    Our client is seeking a technically skilled Industrial Sales Engineer to support business development and project estimation activities for industrial ventilation and air handling systems. This role bridges the gap between customers and engineering, translating complex technical requirements into accurate proposals and cost estimates while maintaining strong client relationships.

    Responsibilities:

    • Serve as the primary technical contact for sales, engineering, and customer teams throughout all project phases

    • Prepare detailed cost estimates, proposals, and quotations for industrial ventilation and related systems

    • Evaluate customer specifications, drawings, and performance requirements to determine appropriate product solutions

    • Collaborate with engineering and purchasing teams to confirm equipment sizing, pricing, and delivery timelines

    • Maintain organized records of proposals, bids, opportunities, and client communications

    • Support sales growth through lead generation, relationship building, and pursuit of new project opportunities

    • Analyze project risks, assess cost impacts, and recommend value-engineered alternatives

    • Communicate clearly with customers to ensure project alignment, satisfaction, and timely resolution of issues

    • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to estimating accuracy and workflow efficiency

    • Ensure compliance with safety and quality procedures across all project activities

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field preferred

    • 5+ years of technical sales or sales engineering experience, preferably in HVAC, industrial ventilation, or mechanical systems

    • Strong ability to size, specify, and price equipment such as fans, blowers, air handling units, and accessories

    • Proficiency in performing airflow, heat load, and pressure calculations

    • Working knowledge of classified/hazardous environments and related design standards

    • Strong communication and customer relationship management skills

    • Ability to interpret drawings, technical data, and specifications with accuracy

    • Experience with Autodesk or other design/estimating software a plus
