Key Duties and Responsibilities

As an intern, you will be involved with the following responsibilities:

• Performance-based internship up to 12 weeks
• Monday-Friday, up to 40 hours per week
• Work in an agile software development team environment
• Ability to design and code the right solutions starting with broadly defined problems.
• Implement features of a full-stack web application through use-case-driven design for both internal and client needs
• Opportunity to speak to clients to help design and build solutions for niche issues

Industry Software will provide assistance and support throughout the internship. Through this internship you will be given the opportunity to learn about growing technology available today and gain in-depth knowledge of working with clients. The skills and experiences you learn here at Industry Software will help you succeed in any position and industry in the future. An assessment will be conducted at end of the internship to determine if you will be offered a full-time position within Industry Software.

Basic Qualifications

• Web development languages such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, etc.
• Programing skill such as Python, Django
• UX/UI design practices and principles knowledge
• Computer science foundational skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a larger team
• Must be out of school or training program
• Be able to commit 40 hours a week towards the internship
• Must be a U.S. citizen (Industry Software is not sponsoring visas at this time)

Preferred Qualifications

• Passion for technology and can navigate across complex and rapidly changing landscapes
• Detail-oriented and organized
• Creative and confident to express new ideas
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical or quantitative discipline, including computer science, computer engineering, information systems, information technology, and mathematics
• Python scripting and automation
• Strong analytical, quantitative, problem solving and conceptual skills
• Relational and non-relational databases (e.g. MySQL, MongoDB) experience
• UX/UI design practices and principles knowledge
