    Infants (6wks - 12mo)

    7:30am- 4:30pm

    8:30am- 5:30pm

    9:30am- 6:30pm

    Infants (12 mo- 18 mo)

    8:00am-5:00pm

    Job Summary

    As an infant lead teacher at Ivy Kids, you will be responsible for planning and implementing the daily curriculum for children in your classroom. You will oversee and coordinate the children’s personal care, hygiene, learning activities, specialized programs, and positive guidance. Day-to-day activities will include supervising and directing activities of assistant teachers assigned to the classroom. You will also keep the director informed on a timely basis of pertinent issues regarding staff, children, families, and the program.

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

    Understands and complies with all Ivy Kids Brand standards & State Standards

    General

    Plans and implements the Ivy Kids curriculum activities

    Keeps accurate and current records of each child’s developmental milestones, student accidents, anecdotal records, and attendance.

    Ensure ASQs are conducted on time.

    Has knowledge of state standards and ability to follow Ivy Kids Critical Procedures.

    Provides daily communication to parents via parent app.

    Attend staff meetings and trainings.

    Interaction with Parents, Staff, and Director

    Assists in training new staff and familiarizing them with program practices, forms, and schedules.

    Observes, records, and reports to the director any significant behavior of children or staff that could adversely affect the quality of care provided.

    Health and Safety

    Understands and implements all Critical procedures and infant care procedures.

    Implements appropriate procedures in the event of an emergency

    Administers CPR/First aid if needed

    Properly maintains educational materials and equipment

    Ensures all sanitization procedures are followed as regulated by childcare licensing

    Keeps the classroom and other play areas safe, neat, and clean.

    Qualifications

    Must be able to repeatedly bend, stoop and run; must repeatedly lift and carry children up to 50+ pounds.

    Must be able to effectively interact and communicate with children and parents.

    The lead teacher must maintain at least 24 hours of training each year.
