Once Upon a Childcare is looking for an experienced Infant Teacher's Assistant to join our team.

Responsibilities:

Helping to implement a fun and creative lesson plan suitable for infants 2 months to 12 months of age

Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, etc.) to teach children

Encourage children to interact with each other

Guide children in developing their artistic and practical skills through a carefully constructed curriculum (e.g., identifying shapes, numbers, colors, art, etc.).

Track children's progress and report to parents

Communicate regularly with parents

Collaborate with other educators.

Maintain a clean, tidy classroom in accordance with health and safety standards.

Benefits:

Desired Skills and Experience:

Experience working in a licensed childcare facility

Child development courses through an accredited college and/or EQIT/Pyramid Plus courses and/or a Level 1 or higher in the PDIS credential system

Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and preschool educational methods

Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms

Excellent communication and instructional skills

Ability to act as a mediator between children

Cool-tempered, friendly, and reliable

Certification in child CPR or willingness to obtain
