Role Overview
The Infant Teacher provides responsive, nurturing care that supports the earliest stages of development.
In this role, you will create a calm and predictable classroom environment where infants feel safe, supported, and engaged. Through intentional interactions, sensory experiences, and consistent routines, you will help children build the foundational skills that support lifelong learning.
You will also partner closely with families, maintaining warm and professional communication while supporting each child’s unique developmental journey.
Responsibilities
• Build strong, responsive relationships with infants through consistent caregiving • Support daily routines including feeding, diapering, rest, and transitions • Create a calm classroom environment that promotes exploration and emotional security • Implement sensory-rich experiences that support early development • Observe and document children’s developmental progress • Communicate regularly with families using approved systems such as Procare and Lillio • Maintain a safe, organized classroom environment that meets licensing standards • Collaborate with coworkers and leadership to support a positive team culture • Participate in required trainings, staff meetings, and professional development
Qualifications
• CDA, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred • Experience working with infants or in a licensed early childhood program preferred • Understanding of infant development and responsive caregiving practices • Strong communication and teamwork skills • Professionalism and commitment to ongoing growth • Must meet Ohio childcare licensing requirements
