- 12+ Units in Early Childhood Education
- Able to maintain an overall positive and professional disposition
- Effectively plan, organize, and implement Curriculum educational activities
- Valid Teacher permit though the California Teaching on Credentialing
- Background clearance
- Able to lift 30 lbs, squat, and stand for a period of time
· Meet requirement of immunization shot
· TB Clearance
Primary Responsibilities:

- Supervise children at all times.
- Must possess and maintain a valid associate teacher permit minimum.
- Responsible for the Day-to-day operations of the assigned classroom
- Follow Policies and Procedures for the classroom and outside play which promote a fun, safe, and healthy environment for all learners.
- Follow and implement daily schedules/routines according to Policies/Procedure.
- Create and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities
- Compliance with all emergency and safety procedures and protocol.
- Organize, Clean and sterilize room, equipment, and toys to maintain a clean, safe and orderly environment inside and outside.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and center staff
· Assess and provide for children’s physical needs including holding, rocking cleaning diaper changing, toilet assistance, clothing, feeding and nap and rest supervision; assist children with the development of self-help skills.
- Report to parents and Program Director all behavioral issues, health issues/concerns, ongoing developmental goals, and otherwise pertinent information.
- Promote an environment which is warm, fun, caring, and respectful of the needs of both the group and individuals in it.
- Participating in recommended training programs, conferences, courses, and other aspects of professional growth.
- 21 Professional Development Hours are required per year. RQT Fiscal Year. (Ex: April 2021 – April 2022) If you are enrolled college course it can count towards your Professional Development hours as well. Summer & Fall courses will count towards Professional Development hours. ****
- Implementing methods for effectively using the services of classroom assistants.
- Planning and implementing methods of establishing a positive liaison with parents of students in your class.
- Completing DRDPs and other assessment measures as needed.
- Understand how to collect and use data by phone or in person.
- Conducting parent-teacher conferences twice yearly
- Collecting Meaningful Observation documentation for children Desire Results.
- Math Dictation Daily where it can be seen
- Overtime when required.
Training Required:
· CPR/First Aid Update when required
· Mandate Reporting every 2 years
· Safety & Health
· Pesticide Training Annually
· Attend in Staff Meetings and Regulations required by Title 22 & Title 5.
