Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Infant/Toddler Daycare Teacher to join our team! Monday-Friday, 7:20am-3:00pm. We are a licensed Group Family Day Care (GFDC) by NYS Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) with a mixed age environment.

Responsibilities

Plan fun activities to match the given lesson plan that are developmentally appropriate for Creative Learning Curriculum

Follow a daily activities schedule

Follow the weekly disinfecting schedule

Provide basic care: Cooking meals, diaper changing, potty training, & etc.

Evaluate children to ensure they are reaching developmental milestones with Procare & Teachers Strategies Gold online.

Communicate with parents and update them on their children’s activities and required documentation for active enrollment

Attend in staff goggle meet bi-weekly to discuss program children and staffing concerns for coaching

Conduct monthly Queens Community House coaching visits

Attend Professional Development Day trainings.

Conduct CACFP and DOH unannounced program inspection

Manage 3 assistant providers to comply with program requirements

Qualifications

2 years experience as a daycare/school teaching role

Strong understanding of early childhood development

Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills to lead a group of 14 kids and 3 assistants

First aid/CPR certified or willing to take within 2 weeks.

NYS OCFS 15-hour "Health & Safety Training: Competencies for Family or Group Day Care Provider" (willing to take within 3 weeks)
