At Under the Magic Pine Tree, we believe even our youngest children deserve more than care—they deserve connection, respect, and a thoughtfully prepared environment where they can grow, explore, and feel deeply known.
We are expanding our program to welcome children as young as 9 months, and we are looking for a reliable, warm, and deeply trustworthy teacher to help build the foundation of this space.
This is not a babysitting role. This is relationship-based, intentional work with children in their earliest years.
What This Role Really Is
You will be:
Building secure, responsive relationships with infants and toddlers
Creating a calm, predictable environment through consistent routines
Supporting early development through presence, observation, and interaction
Partnering with families in a way that builds trust and confidence
Helping shape a classroom that reflects our Reggio-inspired approach
We Are Looking For Someone Who Is:
Highly reliable – children need consistency, and so do we
Able to follow routines and structure – you understand that predictability creates safety
Warm and responsive – you notice, respond, and connect
Calm, patient, and grounded—even on hard days
A team player who communicates clearly and respectfully
Experience
Infant/toddler experience is preferred
We are open to the right person who is eager to learn and grow into this role
Position Details
Full-time (schedule may vary based on availability)
Pay: $15–$18/hour, based on experience and demonstrated ability
Why Under the Magic Pine Tree?
We are not a typical childcare center. Our classrooms are intentionally designed, our work is relationship-driven, and our team is committed to doing this work with purpose and professionalism.
This is a place where:
Your role is respected as meaningful work
You are supported in your growth
Children are seen as capable, not managed
Before You Apply
This role is a strong fit for someone who:
Wants to be present and engaged, not just supervise

Understands that caring for infants is skilled, important work
