Toddler Teacher Assistant

Our established nonprofit childcare center located in downtown Portland is searching for a fantastic candidate to join our committed team of teachers. Our center’s culture relies heavily on a quality teaching staff, that work as partners with the families that we serve.

In this part time position, you will generally be working in the classroom from about four hours per day, Monday through Friday. There is opportunity for additional hours, and its all dependent on your schedule and flexibility. If you are a student, we are happy to work around school schedules, so please don't let that detour you from applying.

Your day might look like:

• Setting up snacks, projects, etc.
• Cleaning up after meals, projects.
• Diapering children as needed.
• Modeling desirable behaviors in the classroom environment.
• Engaging with children in our play based program.
• Maintaining a flexible attitude, and showing the ability to accept suggestions and following directions.

Once hired, there are trainings and certifications that we will reimburse you for completing. Additionally, you will need to pass a series of background checks required by regulators. We'll help you through the process.

This position will start at $20.00 per hour. Because this is a part time position, there are no additional benefits. Our center has no private parking, so public transportation is encouraged.
