Qualifications:
Minimum 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent (CDA or degree in Early Childhood preferred)

About Woodland Academy: Woodland Academy is a Reggio Emilia–inspired, Christian early childhood program rooted in nature, relationships, and joyful learning. We believe in nurturing the whole child—socially, emotionally, spiritually, and intellectually—through hands-on exploration, high-quality materials, and a caring community of educators.
Why You’ll Love Woodland Academy:
Lower child-to-teacher ratios
Beautiful, nature-rich learning environment
Supportive leadership and strong team culture
Paid professional development and training opportunities
Competitive pay and growth opportunities
Exceptional environment for children having scored 6.1 out of 7 on our recent reaccreditation
A team that values quality, consistency, and care
Purpose-driven work that truly matters
You are a strong fit if you:
See children as capable and curious, not something to control
Value a clean, organized, and peaceful classroom
Lead with consistency in and out of the classroom, warmth, professionalism, and follow-through
Are reflective, growth-minded, and open to learning
Provide unreasonable hospitality and customer service to families and other stakeholders
Expectations
Maintain a calm, engaging classroom environment
Support learning through observation, play, and exploration
Communicate clearly and professionally with families
Take ownership of your space, materials, and daily routines
This is NOT for you if:
You prefer chaotic or heavily teacher-directed classrooms
You struggle with organization, cleanliness, or attention to detail
You’re looking for “just a job” rather than meaningful work
You offer only mediocre customer service for children and their families
You are not open to feedback or growth
You only want to do controlled or handprint art experiences
