    OUAC Riverside is looking for an experienced Infant Teacher who is an IPS to join our team!

    Pay starts between $18.00 and $20.00 based on education and experience. On-going pay raises for all employees are awarded based on meeting program standards and expectations. If you are a good fit for our program, we love to promote and help all our teaching staff grow! Career advancement is always available, and we are willing to assist.

    Benefits:

    All Employees will accrue Personal Time and PTO hours do not expire and can roll over to the following year.

    Sick Pay will be accrued for a maximum of 48 hours, applied to each employee's policy, and paid out for absences due to illness each calendar year. Sick pay hours do not expire and can roll over to the following year.

    Holiday pay will be paid based on your individual average hours worked and will be paid to each employee after their 60-day probationary period.

    Responsibilities:

    Develop a fun and creative lesson plan suitable for Infants 6 weeks to 18 months of age

    (IPS) The Infant Program Supervisor is responsible for overseeing staff and ensuring the infant room maintains compliance with state regulations.

    Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, etc.) to teach children

    Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem

    Encourage children to interact with each other

    Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers, colors, art, etc...).

    Track children's progress and report to parents

    Communicate with parents regularly to understand the children's background

    Collaborate with other educators.

    Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards.

    Desired Skills and Experience:

    Experience working in a licensed childcare facility

    Child development courses through an accredited college and/or EQIT/Pyramid Plus courses and/or a Level 2 or higher in the PDIS credential system

    Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and preschool educational methods

    Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms

    Excellent communication and instructional skills

    Ability to act as a mediator between children

    Cool-tempered, friendly, and reliable

    Certification in child CPR or willingness to obtain
