Job Description

Infina is seeking an experienced Strategic Communications Specialist  to provide technical and creative writing support for our federal customer. This individual will be tasked with writing, developing, and editing content, while maintaining consistency. A successful candidate must be a self-starter who can work effectively with limited supervision and within a team setting. Strong written and communications skills, intellectual curiosity, and a keen attention to detail are crucial. Knowledge of the FAA and the aviation industry not required, but is a plus.

• Research and develop professional documents, which may include reports, strategic plans, video scripts, website content, brochures, PowerPoint presentations, articles, press materials, and talking points.
• Edit existing materials to organize and translate complex data into clear and usable collateral for diverse target audiences.
• Proofread content written by other members of the team and provide thorough edits.
• Work closely with SMEs and creative team to develop content for the organization.
• Liaise with other stakeholders to aid in defining and communicating client requirements and objectives.
• Support the planning and implementation of strategic concepts, communications, and campaigns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, communications, or related area
• At least five (5) years of relevant experience
• Strong writing skills, including strategic communications
• Ability to translate technical information and writing into plain language
• Ability to proofread for spelling, grammar, style, etc.
• Working knowledge of and experience with accessibility compliance (Section 508)
