Location: Winter Park, Florida
Job Type: Full-time, Hourly, Non-Supervisory, In-Person.
Salary Range: $21 to $25 hourly
Responsibilities:
- Phone Handling: Efficiently manage incoming and outgoing calls, ensuring professional and courteous communication.
- Process Documentation: Prepare and process escrow documents, including title commitments, deeds, and closing statements.
- File Management: Open, maintain, and close escrow files accurately and timely.
- Title Examination: Review title searches and clear any title issues or discrepancies.
- Coordination: Coordinate with buyers, sellers, agents, lenders, and other parties to ensure all closing requirements are met.
- Lien Searches: Conduct municipal lien searches to address and resolve all liens.
- Survey Coordination: Manage survey requests and ensure timely completion and accuracy.
- Disbursements: Prepare and disburse funds in accordance with closing instructions.
- Customer Communication: Provide updates and communicate with clients, real estate agents, and other stakeholders throughout escrow.
- Compliance: Ensure all processes comply with company policies and state and federal regulations.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all transactions and communications.
- Support Closers: Assist closers with preparation for closing, ensuring all necessary documents and conditions are met.
Job Requirements:
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with industry-specific software.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact professionally with clients, agents, and colleagues.
- Detail-oriented: High attention to detail with strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues and provide effective solutions; proactive in resolving challenges.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and contribute to team goals.
- Customer Service: Excellent customer service skills with a client-focused attitude; ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Adaptability: Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and fast-paced work environment.
Experience and Educational Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework in real estate, finance, or related field preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in escrow, title processing, or a related field is a plus, as is familiarity with real estate transactions.
- Language Skills: Fluency in professional verbal and written English is required. Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
- Knowledge: Basic understanding of real estate transactions, title insurance, escrow processes, and related legal documents.
