InfiniteWorld is hiring for a QC Artist to maintain a high standard of quality across the studio pipeline in our PRDKT division. The QC Artist will ensure that all asset creation and final delivery is in accordance with established high quality protocols and guidelines. Candidates must have excellent attention to detail and be able to successfully manage to review work produced by multiple technical artists across departments.
This is a remote/telecommute position. Our studio is 100% virtual and allows the applicant to work anywhere in the world!
About PRDKT: Scalable from tens to tens 's of thousands, PRDKT is the future of infinitely reusable product creation and visualization. We replace traditional eCommerce photo and video shoots with our evergreen, photorealistic solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain the quality of content across Modeling, Texturing & Lighting departments
- Establish and ensure production/client specifications are met with consistent quality of delivery
- Provide checklists for asset creation according to the latest project guidelines
- Review the work of technical artists at different stages of production and provide feedback and revisions
- Collaborate with Artists, Leads and CG Supervisors to ensure final approvals of assets in ShotGrid
- Training and mentoring Technical Artists and provide support across asset creation where necessary
- Plan, conduct and monitor testing and inspection of materials and assets to ensure optimal quality
- Maintain files and asset management for all projects
- Troubleshoot technical issues with software and tools (Maya, 3DS Max, Substance) when necessary
Requirements:
- At least 5+ years of experience in a CGI/VFX production environment
- Highly proficient using Maya and/or 3DS Max, Photoshop, VRay
- Working knowledge and experience of all aspects of CG Production and Asset Creation
- Excellent understanding of data flow and formats within a CG Production pipeline
- Acute attention to detail for technical analysis of files and assets
- Excellent communication skills and ability to provide specific technical feedback
- In-depth knowledge of CG Production techniques, workflow, and skills
- Proven ability to work effectively with teams of different sizes and specializations in a deadline-focused environment
- Willingness/adaptability to learn new methods, systems and workflows
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal English)
- Excellent organization and efficient time management skills
- Highly proactive in executing tasks and assisting on all aspects of the CG Production process
- Prior experience creating high-end photoreal CG Assets, preferably in e-Commerce / Products
- Ability to prioritize and deal with heavy workload/multiple simultaneous projects
- Ability to record information accurately and detect/report issues before they compromise delivery
- Ability to analyze and problem solve/keen attention to detail
