    REPORTS TO: VP of Architecture and Engineering

     SUMMARY – The Architecture Designer position exists to create buildable format drawings for interpretation and implementation by a construction team. It is primarily focused on the technical aspects of drawings to support clients’ needs, project development, product procurement, and building codes, from client sign-off to construction completion.

     SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:  None

     ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

    • Interact with team members including Client Relations, Pre-Construction, Design, and Construction Teams regularly to provide quality technical documents
    • Create pricing sets for team reference
    • Create on-site existing condition documentation for use in project planning and as a template for technical document advancement.
    • Gather all required signed-off client information including items such as floor plans, design statements, product selections, and any elevations and organize for implementation through plan creation
    • Continue the design process once in receipt of final schematic floor plan, ensuring the client’s design is properly captured and accurately defined using SOW detail, plan notes, sketches, and task-related detail
    • Create final set of construction drawings with elevations and materials, and finishes lists in accordance with building codes and project-related regulating authorities
    • Identify clear paths to procurement of furniture, finishes, millwork, doors, and other building materials for assigned projects.  Follow order process from implementation to receipt of goods, and communicate with team members logistically
    • Commit to the client experience through effective project planning.
    • Actively contribute ideas, communications, and assistance within a matrix environment as a team member
    • Maintain accurate drawing files through all phases of architecture, engineering, and construction
    • Communicate with independent architects and engineers, and state and local authorities relating to professional construction planning and permitting
    • Provide construction administration for internal and external stakeholders
    • Travel to client sites for project orientation and progress reviews
    • Inspect sites under construction and post-construction for quality control and procedural growth. Consult with team on deficiencies found. Develop internal procedures, and parameters in Revit, that benefit future projects relating to product library.
    • Create project schedules from scratch for strategy, architecture and engineering, and maintain schedule in project management platform.

      SKILL & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

    • Understanding of the technical design processes, and how successful construction follows effective technical design
    • Efficiently interpreting and confirming existing floor plans and building components with accuracy
    • Professional experience in building component processes and how they relate in defining a full and complete design package for all stakeholders
    • Effectively identifying project transition points relating to SOW detail and building components
    • Excellence in written communication and in-person presentation skills
    • Ability to successfully involve oneself in a team collaboration environment
    • Organized and descriptive note taker with clear objectives.
    • Attention to detail in all technical documents including plans, submittals, and project research
    • Strong follow-through and commitment to team deadlines
    • Knowledge in code compliance and the drive to learn more

    TECHNOLOGY EXPERTISE REQUIREMENTS

    • Advanced knowledge of Revit software
    • Knowledge in Building Information Modeling (BIM)
    • Knowledge on International Code Council codebooks
    • Intermediate AutoCAD knowledge
    • Sketch Up desired
    • Additional rendering programs
    • Photoshop or editing capabilities
    • MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
    • Infinity Group Project Management Platform

    EDUCATION

    • BS in Interior Design or Interior Architecture
    • Any industry certifications welcome

     PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Be able to lift samples and plan sets
    • Must be vaccinated and willing to maintain all CDC guidelines
    • Be able to stand for a long period of time including walking
    • Be able to visit job sites during construction on occasion
