    CLFC Healthcare & Communications is seeking an experienced Inflight Paramedic for a full-time aeromedical transport position based in Kansas City, Missouri. This role provides advanced pre-hospital and interfacility critical care during fixed-wing and rotor-wing air medical transports, serving patients across the region who require time-sensitive emergency and specialty care.

    Position Overview

    The Inflight Paramedic delivers advanced life support and critical care interventions during air medical transports. Working alongside flight nurses and pilots, this position requires exceptional clinical judgment, the ability to function independently in austere environments, and proficiency with advanced monitoring and life-sustaining equipment in the confined space of an aircraft cabin. Missions include scene responses, interfacility transfers, and specialty transports including neonatal, cardiac, and trauma patients.

    Key Responsibilities

    - Provide advanced life support and critical care during fixed-wing and rotor-wing air medical transports

    - Perform advanced airway management including rapid sequence intubation assistance, surgical airways, and ventilator management

    - Initiate and manage IV/IO access, medication administration, and blood product transfusions per standing protocols

    - Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, 12-lead ECGs, capnography, and invasive hemodynamic monitoring

    - Manage critically ill and injured patients including trauma, STEMI, stroke, and sepsis presentations

    - Operate and troubleshoot aeromedical equipment including transport ventilators, infusion pumps, and cardiac monitors

    - Perform patient assessments and collaborate with medical control physicians for online medical direction

    - Maintain aircraft safety awareness including hot loading/unloading procedures, weight and balance calculations, and crew resource management

    - Complete thorough patient care documentation using electronic charting systems

    - Participate in community outreach, continuing education, and quality improvement programs

    Required Qualifications

    - Current National Registry Paramedic (NRP) or state Paramedic certification

    - Missouri Paramedic license (or eligibility for Missouri licensure)

    - Minimum 3 years of 911/pre-hospital ALS experience in a high-volume system

    - Current certifications: ACLS, PALS, ITLS or PHTLS, and BLS

    - FP-C (Flight Paramedic-Certified) or CCP-C (Critical Care Paramedic-Certified), or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire

    - Physically fit to meet flight weight requirements and perform duties in confined aircraft spaces

    - Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays

    - Valid driver license with clean driving record

    - U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status

    Preferred Qualifications

    - Current FP-C or CCP-C certification

    - Previous air medical transport experience (fixed-wing or rotor-wing)

    - Experience with neonatal and pediatric critical care transports

    - Instructor certifications in ACLS, PALS, or PHTLS

    - Familiarity with Night Vision Goggle (NVG) operations

    - Experience with ventilator management and invasive hemodynamic monitoring in transport environments

    Compensation and Benefits

    - Annual Salary: $79,040 - $95,680 (commensurate with experience and certifications)
