    Job Description

    This is strictly a temporary assignment only and is NOT a temp-to-hire position currently. Currently, the duration of this assignment is 6 months. The duration of the assignment is based on business needs that justify how long the supplemental staffing is warranted. 

    This position will report and work from our Corporate Office: 550 S. Third Street, Louisville, KY 40202.

    Candidates must meet the minimum qualifications below:

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    Associate Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; and

    Three (3) years’ experience with operation of computer system and peripheral equipment; and

    Valid driver’s license

    JOB SUMMARY:

    Acts as initial responder to provide support to end users for computer, application, and system issues.  Monitors daily batch and scheduled jobs. 

    JOB FUNCTIONS:

    Perform operating duties efficiently and in the proper sequence to ensure that scheduled jobs are completed on time.

    Provides basic technical support and assistance to clients via email, phone, and/or other remote methods.

    Addresses and responds to customer inquiries on organizational products and services, including installation, operational functions, troubleshooting, and maintenance.

    Follow standard procedures for escalation of unresolved issues to appropriate internal teams.

    Monitor daily batch and scheduled jobs in Automic systems for successful completion and initiate corrective action as needed.

    Process specific end-user requests.

    Assist with maintenance of help desk ticketing system including upgrades, technician user creation, and work order type management.

    Assist with user account management in Active Directory, PeopleSoft, and other systems.

    Assist with ordering of computer-related equipment and supplies including mobile devices.

    Report any discrepancies between the documentation of the job and the actions taken during the processing of the job to ensure that change control has not been violated.

    Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively maintain documentation and provide for necessary system audit procedures and reports.

    Record problems, such as down time and job failures, and actions taken.

    Maintain appropriate records and logs.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

    None

    WORKING CONDITIONS:

    Generally, works a 40-hour work week in an office environment; overtime and/or shift alterations when necessary; subject to normal hazards associated with computer equipment operations.  

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    Associate Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; and

    Three (3) years’ experience with operation of computer system and peripheral equipment; and

    Valid driver’s license.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    A+, HDI, Microsoft, or other related certification.

    Experience with Microsoft Office.

    Experience with Track-It Help Desk or similar software.

    KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES:

    Ability to comprehend technical language, operating instructions, and equipment manuals.

    Knowledge of computer operations.
