Infomatics is an Inc 500/5000 corporation for the last 7 years in a row. We have an urgent need for a Mainframe Software Developer, and this is a Hybrid - Onsite in Farmington Hills, MI . Job Title: Mainframe Software Developer - Senior Location: Farmington Hills, MI (3 days on site and 2 days remote) Job type: 12+ Months Long Term contract Job Responsibilities: * Modify existing application code or interfaces or build new application components from detailed requirements. * Analysis of requirements, support of the design, development of the code, testing, debugging, deployment, and maintenance of those programs and interfaces. Documentation of the work is essential. * Participation in most aspects of programming and application development, including file design, update, storage, and retrieval. * Ability to maintain the developed solution on an on-going basis is essential. * Formulate concepts, define system scope and technical objectives based on user needs (requires very good written and verbal communication skills, ability to easily grasp business concepts, and possesses skills to build a vision) * Enhance processes to resolve operational problems and add new functions taking into consideration schedule, resource constraints, process complexity, dependencies, assumptions and application structure. * Candidate is required to follow the existing development methodology and coding standards and ensure compliance with the internal and external regulatory requirements. * May guide various groups on application systems activities. * Work under general directions; typically reports to a team lead or supervisor/manager. Minimum of 8 years of experience * Bachelor's degree in computer sciences or information system management required. * Experience in financial services or captive auto finance companies is a strong plus. * Ability to integrate with large teams, demonstrating strong verbal and written communication skills. * Application development experience in large scale enterprise environments is essential. * Problem-solving skills and critical thinking are essential to effectively conduct the required tasks. * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-tasking. * Self-motivated and able to work autonomously when necessary. * System development lifecycle * System development processes and method * Testing methods, including unit and integration testing (JUnit, JMock) * Utilization of software configuration management tools * Code deployment and code versioning tools Experience in the following: * UNIX, z/OS * COBOL, CICS, JCL, VSAM, TSO/ISPF, FileAid, CA-EasyTrieve, Schedule tool (CA-7), Abend-AID * WebSphere, WSAD, MQ Series * DB2, SQL, MS Access * FTP/SFTP If you have the above skills/experience, please share your resume in confidence to: Recruiter Name: Hari Email: harihara.k@infomatinc.com Phone no: 248-579-4400 EOE Company Description Infomatics is a tech consulting and staff augmentation firm.
