    Job Description

    The FAN EXPO ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE will be responsible for selling brand clients into our network of eleven US event markets and our digital properties. Over the last twelve months FAN EXPO HQ has acquired multiple event brands and has expanded from three to eleven markets and this role will be integral to support our recent, exciting growth! Our clients include brands like Bandai, Hasbro, Disney, Universal, DC, Marvel, Cinemark, FYE, GameStop, Uniqlo, Tervis, GEICO, T-Mobile and more. 

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Generate new business selling brands into our network of events and digital properties while achieving event and digital advertising quarterly and annual sales targets
    • Convert prospects into clients by selling individual events, national tour programs, and digital media packages
    • Cross sell clients into additional events and digital packages throughout the year
    • Expand business relationships and become known as a trusted partner and expert in the pop culture live events world;
    • Reinforce connections with key business decision makers and host prospects on site at events and attend industry events
    • Generate new business opportunities through proactive prospecting of individual markets, national brands, in market companies, and other tactics
    • Develop Win-Win-Win programs for The Client-The Business-The Fans with a focus on long term successful partnerships
    • Achieve and log weekly and monthly virtual/face to face meetings goals
    • Maintain and demonstrate a true understanding of the client’s needs through high EQ and act as a champion for clients internally
    • Work closely with the Account Management team to share key client goals, needs, stakeholders, long term sales goals of the partnership, and more throughout the entire delivery process up to and including post event and post campaign wrap meetings
    • Bring opportunities, challenges, and pipeline updates to collaborative, weekly sales meetings and run regular, internal meetings with Event Directors, Marketing, and other relevant internal teams to update and collaborate on brand partnerships
    • Follow up on all leads in a pro-active manner and maintain continued, customer-centric follow up throughout the sales process
    • Support the Head of US Partnerships during the sales process of national, key accounts and early-stage lead development pipelines
    • Work with the Head of US Partnerships to enhance the product and service offering across the portfolio to maintain market leadership
    • This job reports into the NYC based US Head of Partnerships. The position is open nationwide and our team works across the US and Canada
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • 3-5+ years of carrying individual sales quota with proven success hitting targets   
    • Successfully closed deals which featured products such as sponsorship, exhibit space/experiential activations, promotion, and digital
    • Extremely strong communication skills, in person and virtual deck presentation ability, and narrative sales strengths
    • Highly motivated to close deals, uncover new opportunities, and grow client spend
    • Ability to present to and close brand stakeholders at all job levels and across different verticals along with a natural, strong ability to read the room with a high EQ
    • Deep understanding of experiential and digital media sales process, client success metrics, and tactics to close new business
    • Ability to work with prospects and clients to integrate and adapt all programs to align with and excite pop culture audiences
    • Have worked selling a portfolio of multiple event/digital properties
    • Self-motivated, proactive, attention to detail, and creative problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work in a matrix structure, thrives on team culture
    • Experience with PowerPoint sales deck creation/updating
    • Experience with regular Salesforce reporting or similar CRM
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications
    • ·Willingness and desire to work flexible hours and travel to events, sales meetings, and passport for potential travel to Canada events
