    Job Description

    We are looking for an experienced Vice President (VP) of Marketing to direct and oversee our Marketing department. You will design, implement and monitor effective marketing strategies that align with our business goals. Our VP of Marketing will report directly to the Group Managing Director and will oversee internal Marketing teams across several different industries and brand teams (Restaurant, Food, Catering, Meetings, Marketing and Sustainable Building) specializing in B2B media, events and marketing services. You will also play a significant role in shaping the company’s strategic planning as a member of the group management team.

    The Vice President (VP) of Marketing should have experience and be confident in all aspects of Campaign Management, Product Marketing, Brand and Direct Response Marketing, Marketing Automation, Multi-channel Optimization, Content Marketing and Creative Design.

    This role requires the ability to lead colleagues across business functions in the shared pursuit of earning customer loyalty and growing market share across a diverse portfolio of brands that serve multiple industries. Ultimately ensuring that the Marketing department’s strategic vision and day to day activities align and contribute to our company’s long-term success.

    AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY & ACCOUNTABILITY

    Leadership

    ·       Leadership of group marketing capability, including resourcing/workforce planning, onboarding, developing, performance managing, coaching & motivating a high performing team. Strong focus on continuous personal development for self and the wider team.

    ·       Demonstrable global leadership presence and capability - drives innovation, thought leadership and a culture of high performance and data-driven continuous improvement within the marketing function

    ·       Providing the vision for the integrated go to market marketing strategy focused on raising awareness, interest, desire and action in the core persona markets (Audiences in the buy side of the industry, business executives and clients on the sell side of the industry, strategists, bus dev, product management, marketers and sales). 

    ·       Articulates a clear understanding of how to extract value and ROI from advertising, sponsorship and exhibiting (SPEX), Media and Marketing Services, Digital Solutions, Webinars and in-person/hybrid/virtual events.

    ·       Sets and oversees the execution of the marketing objectives and strategy in terms of strategic positioning and key messages.

    ·       Responsible for establishing the budget to support the objectives and strategy at a consolidated group level

    ·       Provides leadership and direction to grow audiences, increase engagement and drive revenue

    Best practice/measuring performance/innovation & product development

    ·       Leads a best practice marketing environment, driving efficiency and effectiveness, promoting the use of Marketing Excellence tools and approach and contemporary digital marketing methods. As some of the execution comes from shared Marketing Operations, establishes relationship with group CMO and central data team lead to achieve efficiencies and effectiveness.

    ·       Oversee internal Data & Analytics team to analyze data and use data to measure and improve performance.

    ·       Promotes best practice in reporting, forecasting and performance metrics to key internal and external stakeholders, highlighting revenue risks, opportunities and changing landscapes.

    ·       Regularly reviews marketing plans, response rates, audience demographics, and industry best practices.

    ·       Partners with group brand directors in identifying and participating in the development of new products, solutions and target market prospects to secure high value new business

    ·       Foster and lead internal partnerships, ensuring collaboration is driven with a customer focus

    ·       Advocates maximized usage and adherence to Informa systems and processes, adopting a best practice and facilitating developments in line with internal and external requirements

    ·       Sets direction for the marketing automation strategy including personas, segmentation, landing pages, lead scoring, customer journeys and nurturing campaigns.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    7-10 years work experience as a VP of Marketing, Marketing Director or other senior role with proven experience in the following areas:

    • Building and maintaining relationships and passionate about understanding customer behavior and interactions.
    • Strong track record in developing personas and customer journeys and applying those to build out the customer experience.
    • Developing, managing, and implementing changes to processes, systems, and products to enhance the customer experience.
    • Salesforce CRM software, Eloqua and digital marketing tools and techniques
    • Utilizing and implementing marketing tools and technologies to enhance functional efficiency and improve the customer journey.
    • Workforce planning and experience in developing colleagues for taking higher responsibilities.
    •  Ability to partner with HR and leadership on organizational design activity for Marketing optimization.
    • Evidence of working in a matrix organization and motivating a geographically dispersed Team
    • Leading and motivating teams through change.

    Strong collaboration and communication skills written, verbal, presentation

    Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or relevant field
