    Job Description

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Tax Paraprofessional to join our team. The Tax Paraprofessional will play a crucial role in supporting our tax department by assisting in tax preparation, data gathering, registrations, report generation, tax inquiries, and various other tax-related tasks. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, proficiency in Excel and tax software systems, and the ability to multitask effectively. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the success of our tax operations and gain valuable experience in a dynamic environment. Job duties include:

    • Assist with preparation of various tax workpapers using Excel.
    • Assist in data gathering for tax filings.
    • Set up new tax registrations.
    • Review and maintain sales tax exemption certificates.
    • Run monthly reports from SAP and Oracle.
    • Assist in monitoring and responding to tax inquires received from the business.
    • Update and run tax department calendar.
    • Scan and log in all tax correspondence received in Excel tracker.
    • Process tax return filings.
    • Other projects and analyses, as needed
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or a related field (preferred).
    • Proficiency in Excel, including experience with creating and manipulating workpapers.
    • Familiarity with tax software systems and ERP systems preferred (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
    • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and compliance procedures is a plus.

    Additional Information

    The salary for this role is $51,000 - $69,000 depending on experience
