    Job Description

    Whether based in New York or working remotely, the JUNIOR CREDIT ANALYST will be a recent graduate with a passion for financial markets. The candidate will publish real time updates on new bond issues from first rumor through to pricing and reception in addition to undertaking related analysis and database maintenance. 

    Other aspects of the JUNIOR CREDIT ANALYST role include assisting with the creation of various daily and weekly reports for IGM’s credit clients, while also working with senior members of the credit team on the production of additional content initiatives across all fixed income disciplines as necessary. 

    The ideal applicant should be enthusiastic and willing to learn, work well within a team as well as independently and be strongly motivated to shape his/her working experience and career inside our dynamic team. 

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Fast, accurate publishing of deal terms and conditions, legal notices and other public capital markets announcements to a set format, including data entry and analysis
    • Collect and circulate market talk on rumored supply, price talk, book build, distribution and reception
    • Contribute to the production of IGM’s credit reports and other credit initiatives during the North American time zone
    • Source and share information/content across other desks within the credit suite where required
    • Further develop and maintain a deep regional contact base, cultivating sources from both sell and buy-side communities
    • Eventually contribute to pre- and post-launch analysis of major deals utilizing timely and accurate market derived information (rumors, price talk, book-build and relative value analysis)

     

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • An understanding of Financial Markets with knowledge of fixed income markets a plus
    • Debt capital markets or syndicate experience preferred
    • Excellent written and spoken command of the English language  
    • High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
    • Python or similar programming language a plus
    • Flexible and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
    • Ability to cultivate relationships both internally and externally
