    Job Description

    Reporting to the President of Fashion, the VP of Partnerships and Sponsorships has overall responsibility for managing the development, strategy, growth and execution of all strategic partnerships and sponsorships for the Fashion Business. This individual will bring a robust understanding of the fashion industry, established in market relationships, as well as strategic financial acumen to ensure strategies, delivery plans and execution in this space are delivering ambitious growth. . As a member of the leadership team, this role will be a crucial contributor to the development and launch of new products and innovative offerings to our customers and partners. Their established, strong relationships in the Fashion industry will have led the ideal candidate to be experienced at developing deep relationships that lead to enhancing the business through partnerships both short and long term. They will be a member of the Fashion Leadership Team and will be comfortable with taking calculated risks, have strong analytical skills, be culturally savvy with the ability to lead in a cross-functional, matrix environment. To be successful in the role, this leader will need an extensive understanding of the fashion industry, strategic planning experience, agility, and the ability to work with colleagues and clients throughout the organization.

    PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Oversee, manage, develop and create, develop and implement strategic partnerships for the fashion portfolio that add value to all events and products under the new parent brand, as well as the event brands
    • Manage the discovery, development and implementation of new revenue growth opportunities for the business related to all endemic and non-endemic sponsorship
    • Meet weekly in-person with industry and consultancy stakeholders to determine fashion market needs and create vetted growth proposals and value-based partnerships and sponsorships for both endemic and non-endemic industry partners and customers.
    • Partner with the VP of Marketing and Parent Brand/Content Marketers to create, design and implement partnerships & sponsorship opportunities, resulting in revenue, profitability, growth, and customer outcomes
    • Partner closely with executive leadership team and finance to establish revenue growth strategies as it relates to partnership and sponsorship opportunities.
    • Develop and implement new sales initiatives, strategies and programs to capture key opportunities, in partnership with the Fashion Leadership team.
    • Support team by mentoring and nurturing them to enhance their existing relationships while sourcing new leads to meet revenue and growth goals
    • Contribute to new product launches for the fashion group that drive value and growth for the portfolio
    • Lead the team to identify upsell opportunities for event sales reps to pitch their accounts and effectively close deals towards the sponsorship goals
    • Manage the team’s budget and cost of sales, effectively targeting sponsorship activity in relation to customer value, ensuring a high profit margin on costs vs. price charged
    • Lead development and execution of sales campaigns, including team account allocations, sales discipline application and reporting of performance.
    • Lead sales campaign execution, including targeting, pipeline management, deal closing and accurate reporting of sponsorship performance
    • As an in-market representative of the show brands and parent brand, define the value propositions and deliver sponsorship as well as partnership opportunities that drive strong long-standing relationships with the event’s paid partners
    • Partner with marketing, marketing automation and data teams to achieve success and reinforce successful sponsorships for scalable and profitable growth
    • Work closely with the Experience and Operations and Digital Product teams on planning and executing partnerships and sponsorships.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • 7 years’ minimum experience in the fashion industry
    • 5+ years in sponsorship and/or new business sales
    • 3+ years developing and activating strategic partnerships
    • 3+ years of experience successfully managing dynamic teams leading to growth
    • 2+ years’ experience in budget management
    • Proven success working in matrixed organizations and influencing internal stakeholders, services and platforms
    • Comfortable with traveling for work up to 20% of year
    • You are highly organized, articulate and responsive in communications, eloquent in the written and spoken word and able to build strong business relationships.
    • Problem solving – you balance stakeholder needs while maintaining brand and business objectives.
    • Strong culture builder with a good eye for talent and able to develop and motivate staff.
    • Out of the box thinking: You are willing to challenge norms and come up with fresh ideas and approaches

    • The pay range for this position is $165,750 - $200,000 + commission, depending on experience.
