The Marketing Specialist role is an exciting role as part of the Licensing family, working closely with the marketing team based out of Santa Monica and focused on our USA-based products, Licensing Expo, and the newly launched Brand & Licensing Innovation Summit which takes place in New York. This role will be responsible for a range of projects to help with attendee and exhibitor acquisition and conversion, including partnership management, copywriting, lead generation, customer journey mapping and helping to define and deliver the event marketing campaigns.
The ideal candidate for this role will be a strong copywriter and storyteller, responsible for gathering market insights and industry trends and use that knowledge to develop messaging and a positioning that resonates with our different customer groups, and leverage them across our channels for successful campaign delivery.
You will closely collaborate with leaders and stakeholders to understand customer needs to generate high-quality and meaningful marketing content, and continuously measure and improve the impact of your work.
You will be responsible for the coordination and delivery of the attendee and exhibitor campaigns in close partnership with our Digital Marketing Executive.
JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist with planning, pacing, executing and reporting all marketing campaigns, both online and offline
Work with the marketing manager, creative designer, and brand team on development and delivery of needed marketing materials; own delivery within calendar deadlines
Help to define the product marketing strategy including positioning, value proposition and messaging of current and new products to ensure they are differentiated and relevant to our key persona groups
Actively contribute creative ideas for new campaign initiatives based on past campaign performance, current trends and understanding of marketing and business objectives
Provide budgetary support where needed
Supporting with insight initiatives to develop a deep understanding of customer needs and pain points, their behavior and perception of our brand to develop persona profiles that are actionable as part of our marketing campaigns
Write creative, impactful, conversion-optimized marketing copy for a variety of purposes, platforms, and customer groups; work with cross functional teams (digital, events) to optimize marketing copy for conversion
Responsible for securing, delivering and reporting on event partnerships (barters)
Strong working relationship with the Events and Sales team to take event information and incorporate it into campaign messaging
Provide onsite support during shows and events
Provide support to the Marketing Manager and marketing team on additional/other initiatives and projects as needed
