    Job Description

    What we’re looking for:

    The Content, Data, & Insights team is seeking a Sales Associate. The Sales Associate will work to support and deliver on revenue targets for Nutrition Business Journal (NBJ) and NEXT data & insight programming. This position is good for someone with a passion for sales and an interest in health and nutrition and the natural products industry. The Sales Associate will report to the Business Development Manager and will work directly with analysts, content creators, marketing professionals and will have heavy interaction with external clients.

    •  Prospect vigorously to make inroads with new clients
    • Associate will spend much of their time cultivating new and neglected accounts that come from Supply Side and Natural Products Insider portfolio.
    • Focus on growing the NBJ subscription and NEXT guidebook business.
    • As new reports are developed under the NEXT/NBJ brand, associate will develop and implement prospecting plans. 
    • Work with manager to prepare customized business proposals for prospective and existing clients.
    • In addition to identifying new domestic partners, associate will focus on expanding international reach of NBJ brand. The associate will explore the opportunity to leverage Vitafoods, Food Ingredients, and CPHI’s audience to expand international client base.   
    • Maintain and update sales databases to ensure a robust pipeline is continuously present.  Conduct relevant sales analysis to identify opportunities and targets.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with internal sales colleagues, marketing teams, and sales operations to aid in the development of creative sales strategies, sales plans, and marketing outreach. Look at the full Health & Nutrition portfolio to identify ways to better leverage other offerings and programming to drive incremental revenue opportunities.
    • Provide input on development and production of sales collateral
    • Develop strong relationships with customers and ensure the customer is provided with continued superior service.
    • Assist in customer service and support functions, including but not limited to report delivery, needs analysis, concierge service tied to NBJ Key accounts.
    • Work with accounting and finance teams to help manage account receivable process, financial reconciliation, and accurate monthly reporting and recognition
