The Media & Entertainment pillar of Informa Tech brings together exciting brands across the event, research, and media landscape, covering the technology and companies touching our lives as consumers every day. Our game media brand, Game Developer, is seeking an EDITOR-IN-CHIEF (EDITORIAL MANAGER) to build on its success and capitalize on a rapidly growing and changing industry.
Game Developer was founded in 1997 as Gamasutra and relaunched in its current form in August 2021. The site publishes multiple stories daily to inform, empower, and inspire its largely game developer readership. This includes news posts on current events and developments in the game industry alongside regular, in-depth features and interviews exploring different aspects of game development and the diverse individuals that make up the industry.
The EDITOR-IN-CHIEF of Game Developer oversees the day-to-day and overall editorial operation of the site, steering its editorial strategy to reflect an ever-shifting industry and leading a team of editors as they craft content to meet audience needs. The ideal candidate for this role is a strong communicator with a deep knowledge of the video game industry and experience both writing and editing content for a video game media site.
