    Job Description

    The Finance Business Partner (FBP) is a trusted partner to our commercial teams, responsible for end-to-end business planning, forecasting, and budget submissions for the teams supported. They ensure key assumptions, dependencies, risks, and opportunities are understood, articulated, and managed to deliver accurate and timely financial reporting. Operating in a culture of accountability and continuous improvement, the FBP leverages their commercial insight and passion for problem-solving to deliver “right first time” insight and analysis.

    Key Responsibilities

    Budgeting and Long-Range Planning:

    • Prepare timely, accurate and commercially focused budget and 3 Year Plan
    • Challenge commercial team on business issues and revenue/cost assumptions
    • Develop granular, zero-base cost budgets to ensure proper resourcing 
    • Anticipate likely review questions and answer them in advance with supporting analysis

    Monthly Close and Reforecasting:

    • Provide accurate and timely revenue and expense journals to shared services team
    • Prepare variance commentary for key movements vs the latest forecast – revenue, expense, HC
    • Update monthly rolling forecast with guidance from Finance Director

    Other Responsibilities:

    • Manage on financial analyst direct report

    • Model pricing strategies – discounts, rate tiers, revenue optimization

    • Prepare financial plans in support of product launches and capital expenditures

    • Provide decision support around staffing changes, sales resource planning/commissioning, etc.

    • Ensure accurate weekly sales reports prepared and distributed on time

    • Other ad-hoc reporting and analysis as required

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Our Ideal Candidate has

    • Firm grasp of financial processes and systems including Enterprise-level ERP systems (Oracle, SAP), CRM systems (salesforce), and Microsoft Excel
    • Strong analytical skills; evaluates problems from both tactical and strategic perspectives
    • Excellent communication; influences business stakeholders at numerous levels and senior leaders around their performance
    • Attention to detail; able to apply technical accounting and finance expertise pragmatically, while maintaining high levels of accuracy and complying with corporate policies
    • Professional qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance with at least 5-7 years subsequent experience; MBA preferred
