Job Description
Dark Reading, one of the cybersecurity industry’s most successful and widely-read online news sites, is seeking an experienced, knowledgeable Features Editor. The successful candidate will have at least seven years of experience as a journalist/editor for IT industry trade publications and a strong track record in both writing and assigning IT-related feature stories. Experience specifically in cybersecurity a definite plus. The position involves brainstorming and assigning top-notch, in-depth content for use by a cybersecurity professional audience. Story development, assignment, editing, and promotion are key responsibilities. Occasional writing, web broadcasting, and public speaking also required. The successful candidate will be required to work with freelance writers, copy editors, program managers, and sponsors. Experience in producing e-zines and research reports also a plus.
Qualifications
7 years journalism/editorial experience for IT industry trade publications
Experience in cybersecurity is a plus
